Cut each slice of American cheese into 4 strips.
Place a hot dog on a strip of cheese, then wrap with crescent dough to create a bandage effect. You’ll need about 4 strips of dough per hot dog. Repeat for all hot dogs.
Arrange the wrapped hot dogs on the baking sheet and brush them with melted butter.
Bake until the dough turns golden and cooks through, about 12 to 15 minutes.
