  • 1 lb pizza dough (450 g), divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 cloves garlic minced, divided
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 3 cups tomato puree (675 g)
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 12 oz tomato paste (340 g)
  • 1 lb low-moisture mozzarella (455 g), sliced
  • 2 lb meatballs (905 g)
  • 2 cups caramelized onions (175 g)
  • 3 cups bell peppers (300 g), chopped, sauteed
  • Parmesan to serve


  • Prеhеаt оvеn to 450°F (230°C).
